His Lordship was up early today. The new car needed a longer run and not just around the city. The Mistress says he would be in his element as it was golf day, too. That is such a great excuse for him. So, she gets to drive his old car, which doesn't please her much, but she knows a long drive is needed.
We gathered our mates when they went out yesterday and wondered what we could do. There was a hedge behind our caravan and others behind us, so we hid ourselves and watched the humans go about their day. They are well set up and have been living there for a while. They are a quiet bunch and don't venture far.
Gizmo cracked some jokes and had us rolling around, laughing our socks off. A lady came outside looking for something and then returned to her caravan. I wonder what she was looking for!
There was not enough action around them, so we scarpered down the hedge fence to another caravan, and they didn't appear. We heard snoring, and it was the middle of the day. Maybe they don't sleep at night. We shall pop over tonight and see what goes on there.
My humans are in the planning mode around here, wishing they could get on the road. His Lordship has found some rusty areas underneath the caravan, and they are far from impressed. Being brand new, one would expect it to be in tip-top order. The salesman will not be happy when he sees the photos.
The Mistress went to Croquet in the heat of the day. She was home after one game because her osteoporosis was annoying her. Feeling like the weather would change, she put the jug on, wondered why it never boiled, and saw that the gas had run out.
I saw her looking in the fridge for a cold drink. She opened a bottle of His Lordship's beer that he was not keen on. She didn't want it to go to waste, so she demolished it very quickly. I had not known her to drink beer before His Lordship took residence at her place. They share everything now, it appears. I wish I had known about this beer, as we could have helped her drink the stuff.
