Last night, the humans ventured out to goodness knows where. At long last, the rain had stopped, as they had hoped for a while. The ground was happy to receive nourishment, which would make the farmers happy. It made the humans glad to have a lazy day. The mistress forgot to wake up today, and her phone rang, and luckily for her, the secretary answered it.

Now she was concerned about this home on wheels and its rust problems despite it being brand new. A young chap came out to sort all the issues, and today, His Lordship found another. It just never ends, she says. He was here a long time, too, but still missed this one. Of course, it was a man's look, and what else does one expect. The Mistress cannot bend and crouch in all the positions as her body will not cooperate. The expressions here today when she emptied the stick vacuum cleaner made for great entertainment. Our perching place is quite handy as there is little that we miss. Luckily, she didn't hear our giggles.

Now, these humans go out for a drive and forget that we like to see places, too. The Mistress came home, her eyes sparkling excitedly, bragging about this old tree and saying I would love to see it. She presumed some kids had painted it, and Gnomes would love that place. Why does she always forget me? It is not fair, and her infectious enthusiasm upsets me even more.

Look at this; it's perfect for a Gnome or two. They liked the place, but the services were minimal, so I guess we won't be staying there anytime soon. They even called in on His Lordship's brother, who wasn't home. I haven't met this guy yet, and he was sick and could not attend the wedding.
The Mistress is upset that the photos are still not ready, and time is running out for us to be here in Christchurch. The lady has assured her that she will have them done this week and the video, too, so she will chat with the daughter-in-law. I did see a great picture of the Grandson, and the Grandparents are so chuffed with it. He is a handsome lad, and the Mistress loves the dimples.
Early this morning, I could hear the humans talking about the bird,  chirping loudly outside the window. There are trees everywhere around here, and this was the first time she had listened to a bird. She thought they were extinct in this part of Christchurch!!
As a Gnome with limited knowledge of some things in this human world, we are positioned at the end of the runway, and huge planes come and go at all times of the day and night. I doubt that the bird population would cope with the noise. The humans like seeing them, and the big jumbo ones are a sight.
I remember well when they took me on a plane, and the hostess took me to the cockpit. The pilot was pleased to show me all the buttons and dials and the view out the front. It was awesome, and I shall never forget this experience. My mates at home could not understand what I was talking about.
I have to stop and be grateful for all the experiences I have had since moving into life living with these humans.
