Yesterday His Lordship was up at 4.30am and gave us an awful fright because he got dressed, with no intention of going back to bed. It  was the middle of the night, and it appears he couldn't sleep. So much for our Gnome time. We were having a meeting to decide what we would do in the afternoon. The humans were going out and would not tell us for how long. They had an important mission in Christchurch, with her brother in hospital.

They were away for a very long time, and we thought they forgot about coming home. Anyway, we headed out too for Gnome business. The area here is huge and we got up to all sorts of stuff. Playing hide and seek under neath the vegetables. Crickey, is was so much fun. It is amazing how much fun a Gnome can have and of course most of it is Gnome business only. No human saw us running across the grass as we were on the lookout as to when it was safe to do so.

We do like how the humans look after that garden. They do a compost and use the camper's food waste, which we just love. After all the word Gnome means......Garding Nature Over Mother Earth. We have been trying to get some humans to take more care of our Earth, but this is a mission for a Gnome. I have got these two I live with trained correctly and recall one place we stayed where everything wasn't recycled. What a hurrah of a mess. They do not like that place for some reason and have no intention of going back.

A human arrived with some broccoli out of that garden today. This made the humans delighted to have such a fresh vegetable. I hid under one of those yesterday. They have enormous leaves making them a great hiding place for us.

It appears it is lawn mowing day here. Neighbours get out and make this noisy contraption cut the grass. It fills the catcher fairly fast too and our little plot was not done last week. I watched His Lordship from the window, and he has done a great job. He looks pretty serious following behind this weird machine. The Mistress announces that it is great exercise for him.

Very serious business mowing lawns

On completing this mission, she gets him to set up the clothesline a little better. He likes to do odd jobs for her and makes her life a little easier. The mushy stuff continued today right in front of me. Too close to me too and had to cover my eyes with my book. I wish they did not do this, and I have told them too. They say like it or lump it. What can a mere Gnome say!

This afternoon His Lordships twin and family arrived with a couple of Grandchildren. Now I noted the twins were very quiet. Boy can females talk. They all hurt my ears. Some couldn't get a word in and chose to stay quiet. His Lordship being one and I am not allowed to say who else, but she knows who she is. A lovely girl too.....oopps.. Oh, I hope I don't get into trouble here.

The faces on these people when they saw the caravan for the first time. I saw their faces and their mouths were wide open. It appears they had not seen a caravan like this one. My humans loved the family visit, and boy was it quiet when they left.
