We are finally at our next destination. What a ride down here! These humans were not impressed with this towing business. The back of the car was shallow, and the weight in the front of the caravan put a lot of weight onto the tow bar, and they were unhappy Chappies. We stopped for them to rearrange things with minor improvements.
Trixie and I were placed on three cushions high enough to see through the two humans—a great view, I might add. We saw some silly drivers, too, and His Lordship doesn't have patience with stupid drivers. His darling does her best to calm him down!
We parked at a Step Toe and Son place, and the Mistress wasn't too impressed. There was junk everywhere, and it was not nicely set out to her tastes. Eventually, His Lordship had to agree and take us for a ride, as he knows Ashburton well. He knew of another place and met a lovely chap who set up short-term and long-term stayers. Both were highly impressed as they are neat and brand-new semi-permanent places here. It has tickled their fancy big time; even one is for sale. The people living here are all very respectable and have no rough elements.
After their conversation with the chap, the humans were buzzing with contentment. They agreed to park there for approximately two weeks, a decision that pleased them. Seeing them so happy is always a joy; we only stayed one night.
His Lordship has a habit of not turning with a big enough swing out and collects posts, large rocks, and tree branches as we enter this place today.
Setting up here today was a breeze. There are beautiful views and the sun in the right places. I am happy with their decision and with meeting the neighbors. The Humans need a happy gnome, too!
It is golf day today, and the Mistress drove him over. We saw all the carts in the big shed. They even kissed goodbye without warning, and we were in the middle, and this activity hurt our eyes!
The Mistress took us down the street as a market was on and did some window shopping. Window shopping means you don't buy anything, but she returned with a bag in her hand. We are still looking for out what was in it. Whatever it was, I just hope His Lordship approves.
Returning to the caravan was pure bliss. So, it's quiet around here, and no TV on. The Mistress pottered around, putting the other Gnomes on shelves as if we could not stay when we traveled. Some of us could get broken, especially if we get to know anymore, posts and branches and those huge rocks.
