Something is going on around here. These humans were out of here before they were awake today. I reckon they slept in because they downed their breakfast and were gone so fast that I could not keep up, and as to why and where is a mystery. Of course, there was no discussion as to when they would return. This means limited time for a Gnome to do his business.

When the coast was clear, we all took off for the vegetable garden area. It is a major expedition for our little legs.

Vegetable Garden
Behind the flower garden is a glasshouse. Jeepers, it sure gets hot in there. We didn't stay too long because we could have gotten baked. Not suitable for a Gnome. You can see from this photo that it is a long way from our caravan. We are always quite exhausted on our return and require some R&R.

Grr, this computer has a mind of its own.

We saw that someone had been scratching around in the dirt. It wasn't us, is all I can say or admit. Playing hide-and-seek under the potatoes is always a hit with us, and Trixie asks what we will do when they dig them to eat. There are other vegetables and their leaves to hide, so I do not see a problem.
Yesterday, we went down the drive—another major hike for a gnome—and found these two Plovers (Australian birds). They didn't mind us getting close to them either. We have heard the humans talking about these birds always being in the same spot every day. They were very friendly towards us, too.

The biggest surprise was seeing five bunnies running around. They were highly active as they went about their play. What would happen if they got into the vegetable patch? It is also a hike for them, as it is the other end of the land. I hope nobody has a gun around here. His Lordship's brother has a gun and frequently takes a shot. On Saturday, he shot three baby bunnies with one shot. Poor bunnies didn't stand a chance. He is known for being a good shot. I wish I had seen him in action. They live on a farm and have owls, too. I recall the Mistress talking about them when she went down and stayed in her darling's caravan. She had never heard them before, let alone seen them. It appears they were in the hay barn.

Something huge happens here tomorrow. The Mistress has a huge birthday, and I believe it has a Zero. She is not impressed with that Zero because another 10 years means another Zero, and the best part of her life is gone.
Now, my age is unknown. Gnomes just keep on living life without birthdays. Each year is the same for most of us, but for me, I keep having new experiences with these humans that others miss out on. So, I am lucky.
One such person in Christchurch doesn't know he is in big trouble with the Mistress. It appears she is getting a lawyer because he has broken the law big time with this caravan. Their friends and other caravan places cannot believe what this little man has done. I doubt he will be happy to hear from their lawyer somehow. There could even be a deafening explosion in his yard shortly. I wonder if I need a crash helmet because it will be a boomer. So, watch this space.
