The humans are saying thank goodness it is a bit cooler today. They took me to a BBQ yesterday and left me in the car. The Mistress has her mind on other things these days. She only has eyes for her man and not me. How times have changed since he waltzed into her life? It appears she can only handle one bloke at a time, especially since she had a zero added to her age. Every pot needs a lid, and she found one that fits perfectly.

Getting back to the car, it was very hot for a gnome to be stuck. The doors were locked, and there was no way I could get out. I sat up at the window and checked out the talent. It is not a busy street up in Christchurch, but I spotted a dog or two on a lead going for their daily walk. It was fascinating watching a dog going about his business. I just discovered that they also come in all shapes and sizes. Gnomes too. There are skinny and fat ones, tall and short, fluff and no fluff too. Some humans have fluff, too, some more than others. Gnomes usually have very long fluff, but we keep them tidy.

His Lordship only has fluff on the top of his head, but the Mistress says it is getting thinner. She spotted a photo with his back view, and a bald patch was starting to appear. You will never see this happening amongst us Gnomes. Let's face it, have you ever seen a bald Gnome?

Like my mates, I am not stuck at home, but I am learning so much about the outside world. The Mistress teaches me all sorts of things, and learning about feelings, emotions, and a heap of complicated stuff I have to look up in my books. They are each a vast topic, and this makes my brain ache.

We head south for a holiday a week today. Let's hope they remember to take me. We have some people to visit on the way down to Mosgiel, and I look forward to the adventures. But first, I do hope the humans get this caravan sorted. With any luck, they won't have a home to return to. That salesperson has a letter from her lawyer stating that he must refund her. He might not be happy about this, and I will not be satisfied if we have no home. The Mistress assured me they had a plan I would be pleased with, but she would not tell me. She said it was a surprise. That was me told.

These humans talk about all sorts of things, and I listen to them, but it is hard to keep up at times. There are also times when I tune out and get into the Gnome Zone. I will not tell you what this means; it is only Gnome's business.

This caravan is really rocking about today, as it is windy outside. I do hope my mates outside are coping well. I have the luxury of being in a very cozy place.
