Everyone was on the ball yesterday, including me. The Mistress was highly organized, and we were off to see the Albatross. I was perched beside the Grandson. He is an interesting young chap. He asks lots of questions. The road was extremely windy, and lots of hills and narrow roads. There was not a lot of room on the road, and the humans hoped that no buses and trucks were coming the other way.

We had been informed prior to going out there that there was no need to book to see these birds. A big mistake. A very large cruise ship was in and booked the place out. The Dunedin information center misinformed, the Mistress and she was not impressed. The humans made a booking for today.

I must report that we all looked around the souvenirs, and the Mistress put me down to buy something, then went off without me. Hey, what is going on here? There I was, still sitting on the counter, and all these strangers wandering around. How could she leave me there? She is pretty good at leaving me behind and in strange places. All I could think of, was going into a box again, and we all know that I am highly allergic to those things and claustrophobia in confined spaces. I like to see where I am at all times.

People stopped to look at me, and I really thought that they would take me away. Panic stations, what am I to do?

Phew, here she comes, panicking that someone had taken me away. "Why did you leave me here?" It appears she had too much on her mind. We then went to the cafe for refreshments.

Who is the most handsome here?

The humans enjoyed a muffin, but we won't say what Levi ate, cos his mother reads this!

Two cute birds!
Next, we went and searched for a playground. It was time for the lad to run off some steam. Then on, to the next one and we all had lunch there, including the seagulls.

Push me please.

Whee down I go.

Arhh...your too close.

Get out of here.
These seagulls would not be near us if His Lordship hadn't thrown some lunch to them. They made so much noise, and I was scared to look up! They ate the bacon and egg pie that Levi made with the Mistress. He was unsure about this pie, but tomato sauce helped. It was a huge piece, and he did well. He left a small piece, and before anyone blinked a seagull swooped, giving me a huge fright. We watched it try to swallow all at once. The stupid gull struggled to get it down as his neck kept stretching, to get it to his stomach.

His mate, wanting his own piece.

That lad enjoyed this playground as he found some mates to run around with.
We had a good view of a large ship at Port Chalmers in the car.
Diamond Princess.

The humans were organized again, and guess what.....They left me behind. I was left sitting on the table and extremely upset. I wanted to see these big birds they had been talking about. Sometimes, it is just not fair being a mere Gnome.

The only way to show them I was angry with them was to get into the fridge as I saw his nibs put some beer in there. Gizmo and I got into it and solved our problems.
Oh dear, my head hurts.

You guessed it, the humans were not impressed with us. We had so much fun, as Gizmo had not tried beer before. Playing his guitar was hilarious he, was a goanna after the first mouthful, let alone the whole bottle. I drank the other 2 bottles. I see the Mistress drinks this stuff too.
She unpacked her bag and out came some new mates. This was a bribe, I feel. She apologized, leaving me at home and was genuinely upset.
Bashful, Grumpy and Sneezy
