20/5/25

It has been quite a week here, with all sorts of things happening, mostly the jolly Caravan. The humans are far from impressed or happy. The fact that this character seems to be getting away with it gets up the Mistress's nose. As for His Lordship, he goes with the flow. He never says much at any time, for that matter. She reckons it's like getting blood out of a stone. Occasionally, I hear his disgust at the situation. The Mistress is feeling the cold, so the heater comes on, and that noise means the TV volume goes up. Winter has struck; the winter woolies are on. The activity outside my window has almost ceased. Everyone rushes inside to keep warm, and the lawns don't require mowing as often. They clean the floor more often as it's a bit muddy out there.

While thinking about my business this morning, I noticed that the mistress was up very early, and this does not happen very often. They were waiting for a special delivery. What on earth could they be expecting?

Sure enough, a car and trailer with a substantial white thing arrived. What could this be? My poor brain worked overtime. A hive of activity outside while they tried to get it off the trailer. An army of neighbours gathered to assist this monster into place. I noted each bloke had their own ideas as to what to do, but now and again things were not going to plan. The fact that the grass was greasy didn't help at all. The Mistress knew to remain quiet, a change for her! Another lady and her said after another whoopsee did say, "maybe leave this to the females". Those men were not impressed. I watched their body language, and I learned a lot, is all I shall say. It would be rude of me to say anything to defend them and upset those poor ladies.

All this took time this morning, and I was sitting on top of the BBQ out of the way. I daren't open my mouth for fear of being knocked off my perch. In these situations, it is safer to remain silent and observe only. Some who stay nameless should take a leaf out of my book.

Finally, after repositioning to the correct place, the feet were put on little blocks, and the levels were correct. It was agreed that all was done.

It is quite a room. The curtains came with it and are ready to be put up when time allows. When all this was done, the humans had to race away, leaving me in charge. I decided to sit out there for the day and insisted that I would not stay out overnight. I am not accustomed to the cold conditions. It was rather interesting looking from a different perspective, for another view. The Camp Manager had a poke around in there in their absence. I think I will like this thing. The sun will be better in the summer, as it disappeared quickly this morning.

I thought they were never coming home, as it was getting dark, and I was worried about being alone in the dark. They had a trailer and stuff on it, and I will wait until tomorrow to see what is on it.

What exactly is this for? Wait and see, and MYOBB. Huh, what does this mean? It's a tough life being a mere Gnome with these complicated humans. I doubt I will ever understand them. I get told to look this up in my books. Which Book.....Hummmm
